About Young Guns Construction
About Our Business

We are a family owned business, started in 2002. We primarily work in western
North Carolina.

We started out by going around talking to people and telling them about our

We started with small jobs and have continued to grow. We have always said
"No job too big or too small".

We started this business because we found it was hard to find someone in the
construction industry, in our area, that could do good quality work, for a
decent price, that also could make and keep appointments.

The owner is one of the few general contractors you will ever meet that will be
on the job site 95% of the time, usually working right beside everyone else.

William Conner, owner

He graduated from RS-Central High School. He worked as a lumber grader until 2002. He is certified in lumber
inspection, which helps in distinguishing the quality of wood that will be used in your home building and home improvement

He worked for Roto-rooter for several months. In that time, he did learn some plumbing skills. His apparent skills as a
craftsman and mild experience, had him ending up working on a new construction home for the owners of Roto-rooter. After
that, he realized that was what he wanted to do.

He started out doing roofing, land clearing, pressure washing and staining log homes. He also installed sheet rock,
insulation, glass, gutters and electrical.

He then started working for several contractors in the area. He was installing tongue and groove, hardwood flooring and
much of the other work he was doing before. Everyone he worked for noticed his potential. In not only him but also the
employees he chose to hire. His work and work ethic spoke for itself. Before long, he was running two frame crews.

He did that for several years. After a while he began to realize his dream of becoming successful was not far off. He then
pursued getting his general contractors license. After several months of intense study, he took the state exam. He did not
want to limit his options for the future, so he can have contracts for either commercial or residential work.

That is where we are today.

Most, if not all, of our work comes from word of mouth advertising. To be successful in times like these, with that kind of
advertising, you must be doing something right.
